The eastside of Zion National Park is different than the westside and in the canyon. This part of the park has much more varied rock formations with endless twists and turns. Colors of rock and foliage are amazing, especially in the fall of the year. The stresses of uplift, wind and water erosion make for some amazing rock features. It’s hard to imagine how the junipers and brush can survive the harsh elements.
